🚔 Local Crime Update – Derby 🚔

Our officers have been busy tackling crime and keeping our community safe.

👮‍♂️ Two Shoplifters Arrested
This week, officers detained two individuals following separate incidents of shoplifting in the Abbey Ward.

One offender has now been sentenced to 18 weeks in custody.
The second offender has been charged and is currently awaiting sentencing.

We continue to work closely with local businesses to ensure offenders are identified quickly and brought to justice.

📱🚗 Driver Issued Fine for Mobile Phone Use
During patrols, officers also stopped a driver who pulled out directly in front of a police vehicle while using their mobile phone. The driver received a fine and 3 penalty points. Using a phone behind the wheel puts everyone at risk — please don’t do it.
